“Everyone has the right of freedom of fear, shame, guilt, false beliefs or myths or other factors that inhibit or harm their sexual relationship or sexual response” in Declaration of Sexual and Reproductive Rights

All human beings are, in a biological point of view, sexual beings. However, sexuality is much more than anatomy or physiology. The sexual response of every person also depends on the identity and sexual orientation, on the personality and thoughts, on feelings and on relationships that we establish.

Therefore, sexuality has many dimensions and multiple functions. Throughout the years, our sexuality or the way we live it changes. Sexuality integrates our knowledge, attitudes, values or sexual behaviours of the individuals. The sexuality expression is influenced by ethic, spiritual, cultural, and moral factors.

It is important to keep in mind that sexual experiences and ways of living are sources of well-being for us and for the other people with whom we share them.
